Our missionsWe operate Hanshin Port to support the industry and international logistics of Western Japan
The Kobe Port and Osaka Port are gateway ports for Western Japan and our company operates them in a manner that gains the trust of people in Japan and overseas so that they will be used even more. We are involved in operations of a highly public nature, as we actively pursue measures to increase the cargo and responsibly manage and operate the facilities, etc., in order to support industry and the economy, and also the lifestyles of people.
Mission 01
Port maintenance and management
We manage the port facilities
We lease facilities to parties such as shipping companies and port transportation companies and conduct activities such as installing, maintaining and inspecting gantry cranes, and paving and repairing the yards.
We also newly develop properties for leasing such as gates and administrative buildings and use the income gained from those properties to operate the port with consideration for the policies of national government and the demands from companies.
Main properties leased in the portsIn a container terminal
Quay walls
This is a facility we provide for use when a marine vessel approaches and is moored at a quay, for the loading and unloading of cargo, and to allow ship passengers to board and alight.
Gantry crane
This is a crane used to load and unload containers.
It is very important as it greatly improves the efficiency of loading and unloading.
Yard
This is an area for the temporary storage of the containers.
Gate house
This is where the container cargo is received.
It performs tasks such as checking the documentation necessary for the handing over of container cargo.
Administrative building
This is the building supervising the entire container yard.
It conducts the planning and instruction, etc., related to container carry-in and carry-out, placement and storage, and container ship loading and unloading.
In addition to leasing the import and export-related port facilities to the users, we also perform maintenance, etc., on those facilities and continue to evolve into a port that is easier to use each day.

International major route maintenance and expansion
We are strengthening our network with ports in Western Japan
We will further strengthen our transportation capabilities for coastal services, particularly to the Setouchi and Kyushu regions, to advance the collection of cargo in Hanshin Port.
